Sealy India inaugurates first production facility in Telangana

Hyderabad, Oct 30 (UNI) Sealy, a leading global name in the mattress industry on Wednesday announced the inauguration of its first production facility in Telangana.
Located in Gosaiguda Village on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the new plant marks Sealy’s entry into India’s vast market with a focus on providing high-quality, orthopedically supportive mattresses.
Sealy International Managing Director George Dyer highlighted the brand’s legacy and growth at a press conference here.
Founded in 1881 in Celina, Texas, Sealy has expanded its presence globally over 143 years. "This Indian manufacturing facility is the next step in our expansion," Dyer stated. "We believe our product, designed for correct spinal support, has a significant role in India’s mattress market."
Known for its orthopedic mattress design, Sealy’s patented spring technology adapts to various body weights, promoting restful sleep and minimizing back pain. This expansion aims to support the growing demand in India, while also catering to neighbouring markets, including Nepal and Bangladesh.
GSS Jagannath, General Manager of Sealy India, shared Sealy's vision for India. "Our long-term goal is to establish Sealy as the number one bedding brand in India," he said. With a growing distribution network and partnerships in the hospitality sector, Sealy is poised to make strides in the Indian market and beyond.
