Security convoy vehicle of Akshay Kumar involved in road accident in Mumbai

Mumbai, Jan 20 (UNI) A vehicle from the security convoy of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was involved in a road accident in Mumbai on Tuesday, briefly causing confusion in the area but resulting in no major injuries or damage, according to officials.
The incident occurred when Akshay Kumar was returning to his residence in Juhu along with his wife Twinkle Khanna. As per available information, a fast-moving Mercedes car that was part of the actor's security convoy collided with an auto-rickshaw near the Silver Beach Café area in Juhu.
Following the initial impact, the auto-rickshaw reportedly lost balance and struck a security SUV that was also part of the convoy. The collision led to a brief disruption of traffic in the vicinity, drawing the attention of bystanders and commuters.

BMC targets major tax defaulters owing ₹1,500 crore, Seizure notices served to 48 entities

Mumbai, Feb 14 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has intensified its action against large property tax defaulters, issuing seizure notices to 48 major entities within a week over outstanding dues amounting to Rs 1,500 crore. On Saturday, the civic body released a fresh list naming the 20 biggest defaulters, which include prominent real estate developers, mills and other establishments that have collectively failed to clear substantial arrears.

Special POCSO court orders temporary release of car belonging to dance teacher facing trial in minor harassment case

Thane, Feb 14 (UNI) A Special Court under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act in Thane has ordered the temporary return of a seized red Hyundai Verna car to dance teacher Dinesh Vivek Ghag, who is currently facing trial for allegedly following and gesturing to a 14-year-old girl. The order was passed on Saturday, after the court examined the plea filed by the accused seeking interim custody of the vehicle.

Nashik to get 50 EV buses soon; tender issued for support services
