Shab-e-Baraat prayers disallowed at Jamia, CM calls in “very unfortunate”

Srinagar, Feb 13 (UNI) Anjuman Auqaf, the managing body of Jamia Masjid, Thursday said that authorities have disallowed the Shab-e-Baraat (Night of Salvation) congregation at the historic mosque in old Srinagar.

J&K chief Minister Omar Abdullah termed the sealing of the mosque very unfortunate , stating that this reflects a lack of confidence in the people as well as in the law and order machinery.
