Shah expresses grief over Talegaon bridge collapse

New Delhi, June 15 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday expressed grief over the tragic bridge collapse on the Indrayani River in Talegaon, Pune.
Taking to social media platform X, Shah said that he spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and enquired about the situation on the ground.
"Deeply saddened by the tragic incident of the bridge collapse on the Indrayani River in Talegaon, Pune," Shah said.
He said, "Spoke with Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and inquired about the present situation on the ground. NDRF teams posted nearby quickly rushed to the site, joined the rescue operation, and saved several lives with remarkable promptness".
"Heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured," the Home Minister said.
More than 10 people were feared trapped while one person washed away in the Indrayani River after an old bridge collapsed in the famed tourist destination Kundmala in Pune district, police said.
