Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath to perform Gupt Navratri at Magh Mela in Prayag

Varanasi, Jan 12 (UNI) This year's Magh Mela in Prayagraj, the sacred land of spirituality and penance, is going to be imbued with a unique spiritual aura. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Ji Maharaj of Jyotishpeeth will formally enter the Magh Mela area on Tuesday. With his arrival, a series of special religious rituals will begin at his camp located on the banks of the Sangam.
During his stay in Prayagraj this year, Shankaracharya Ji Maharaj will perform the special ritual of 'Gupt Navratri'. It is known that Prayag is a Siddha Kshetra (a place of spiritual accomplishment) of Goddess Lalita Devi. Gupt Navratri holds special significance from the perspective of Tantra and Shakti Sadhana (worship of the divine feminine energy). Of the four Navratris that occur in a year, two are manifest and two are hidden (Gupt). During the Gupt Navratris that fall in the months of Ashadha and Magh, devotees secretly worship Shakti.
On Monday, Shankaracharya Ji's media in-charge, Sanjay Pandey, said that this ritual performed by Shankaracharya Ji will be dedicated to the happiness and prosperity of the nation, the strengthening of Sanatan Dharma, and the welfare of the people. This fasting and worship of Gupt Navratri on the land of Prayag, in the presence of the energy of the Shaktipeeth Lalita Devi, will prove to be extremely inspiring for spiritual seekers.
