Shinde pays emotional tributes to Manohar Joshi

Mumbai, Feb 23 (UNI) Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday paid emotional tributes to senior Shiv Sena leader and former chief minister Manohar Joshi, expressing his sorrow that time has taken away the son of Maharashtra who had a distinguished career from 'Sir' in education to 'Speaker Sir' as Lok Sabha Speaker.
In his condolence message, he said, "His journey from being a councillor, mayor to state chief minister, Union minister and Lok Sabha Speaker will be a beacon of light for generations to come in politics and social affairs."
"He was a multifaceted personality with deep faith in political as well as parliamentary democratic system. Wherever he worked, he left his mark there," he said.
