Shiv Sena (UBT) protests against India-Pakistan cricket match in Thane

Thane, Sep 14 (UNI) The Shiv Sena (UBT) staged a protest in Thane today against the central government's decision to allow cricket matches with Pakistan. The demonstration came months after the Pahalgam terror attack, with protesters accusing the government of engaging in a "game of cricket" with Pakistan.
The protesters raised "Pakistan Murdabad" slogans and carried out symbolic actions to honour the martyrs of terrorist attacks. The Shiv Sena Mahila Aghadi led a statewide movement, with a significant protest held in Thane. Shiv Sena workers also collected and sent sindoor as a reminder of the Pahalgam attack, symbolising their opposition to sporting ties.
Several prominent Shiv Sena leaders attended the protest, including Rajan Vichare, Naresh Manera, Kedar Dighe, and Anish Gadhave, among others. A large number of women office bearers and citizens were also present.
