Shivraj leads cleanliness drive, plantation campaign and Pragati yatra in Patna

Patna, June 17 (UNI) union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Modi had transformed cleanliness from a government programme into a mass movement, as the Swachh Bharat Mission had encouraged millions of people to adopt better sanitation practices and contributed to creating a cleaner India.
Participating in a cleanliness drive, plantation programme and "Pragati Path Yatra" in Patna as part of celebrations marking 12 years of the NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, organised to highlight the government''s achievements in service delivery, good governance, welfare initiatives and development during the past 12 years, Chouhan said that Swachh Bharat Mission has inspired people to adopt hygiene.
He urged people to actively participate in keeping their homes, neighbourhoods and public places clean, describing public involvement as essential to the success of the campaign.
