Social security pensions to be disbursed on 10th of every month: Samrat

Patna, Jun 10 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, on Wednesday, announced that beneficiaries of social security pension schemes in the state will now receive their pension payments regularly on the 10th day of every month, ensuring timely financial assistance to the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities.
On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing the longest continuous tenure as an elected Prime Minister, Choudhary virtually transferred pension benefits to more than 94 lakh beneficiaries under various social security pension schemes through a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) programme organised by the Social Welfare Department.
Participating in the programme via video conferencing from Bihar Bhavan in New Delhi, the Chief Minister transferred nearly Rs 1,100 crore to beneficiaries at the enhanced rate of Rs 1,100 per month.
