Sridevi’s 62nd birth anniversary: Boney Kapoor remembers late wife, says he still sees her as “26”

Mumbai, Aug13(UNI) On the 62nd birth anniversary of legendary actress Sridevi, filmmaker Boney Kapoor penned a heartfelt tribute to his late wife, recalling her timeless beauty and spirit. Sharing an emotional post on social media, Kapoor wrote that even today, he remembers Sridevi as the vibrant 26-year-old he first fell in love with.
Boney Kapoor took to Instagram to post a beautiful picture of Sridevi from the film English Vinglish, accompanied by a sweet caption, “Yesssss You are not 62 today. You are 26, Happy birthday we are still reliving all your happy birthdays."
He also shared another post writing “In 1990 her birthday party in chennai when I wished her happy 26th birthday while it was her 27th birthday to make her feel that she had gone younger & it was a compliment , that with every passing day she is getting younger but she thought I was teasing her.”
Boney Kapoor’s words struck a chord with fans, many of whom flooded the comments with their own memories and tributes to the actress. Several celebrities also joined in, sharing posts honouring Sridevi’s extraordinary talent and enduring influence on Indian cinema.
