Students indefinite hunger strike for removal of NEHU VC and others enters second day

Shillong, Nov 6 (UNI) Students from North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in Meghalaya continued their indefinite hunger strike for the second day on Wednesday and the University has been locked down with students now demanding immediate removal of the Vice Chancellor and four other officials.
However, Vice Chancellor Prabha Shankar Shukla has ruled out from resigning and removing the four varsity officials stating that it was upto the central government to take the decision.
But the agitating students under the banner NEHU Students Union (NEHUSU) said that they would continue with their indefinite hunger strike till the demands are met.
