Sudarshan bursts with 84 as GT post 229/4 against CSK

Ahmedabad, May 21 (UNI) A composed and authoritative innings from Sai Sudharsan powered Gujarat Titans to a commanding 229/4 against Chennai Super Kings in the 66th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday night.
Opting to bowl after winning the toss, CSK hoped early movement and pressure would slow down Gujarat batting lineup. But those plans were quickly dismantled as Gujarat's top order took control from the outset, led by the assured presence of Sudharsan, who emerged as the standout performer of the innings.
Opening the batting, Sudharsan anchored the innings with maturity, finishing with a fluent 84 off 53 balls, laced with seven boundaries and four sixes. While Shubman Gill played the aggressor's role at the other end, Sudharsan ensured stability, rotating strike smartly and punishing loose deliveries without taking undue risks.
