Sundar strikes twice as Eng slump to 175/6 at Tea

London, July 13 (UNI) India made significant inroads on Day 4 of the second Test at Lord’s, reducing England to 175 for 6 at Tea after a commanding bowling performance led by Washington Sundar and Mohammed Siraj. With the pitch offering variable bounce and drift, the visitors surged ahead in a match hurtling toward a result.
England began the morning at 2/0 and reached Lunch at 98/4, but the slide continued post-break despite a brief resistance from Joe Root and Ben Stokes, who stitched a
67-run stand for the fifth wicket. However, Root’s dismissal for 40 in the 43rd over triggered a fresh collapse.
