Supernatural series ‘Bhay’ unveils chilling teaser featuring Karan, Kalki

New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) Kalki Koechlin and Karan Tacker are set to headline the supernatural thriller 'Bhay – The Gaurav Tiwari Story', a chilling series which the makers say is inspired by real events and the life of India’s first paranormal investigator.
The show’s teaser was unveiled by Mxplayer on its Instagram writing, “Jinhone India ke sabse bade haunted cases solve kiye, unki khudki death ek sabse badi mystery bann gayi! ‘Bhay - The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery,’ inspired by real events, coming soon on Amazon MX Player!”
The teaser opens amid one of Gaurav’s (Karan Tacker) intense, chilling field investigations, immersing viewers in the eerie environments he often navigated.
Flickering lights, shifting shadows, and a tightening atmosphere recreate scenes based on real cases, field notes, and documented experiences that built his reputation in the paranormal community.
We are also introduced to Irene Venkat (Kalki Koechlin), a respected journalist and author who initially approached Gaurav’s work with sharp skepticism, determined to expose him. But after his sudden and mysterious death at 32, her perspective changes.
What begins as a professional inquiry evolves into a personal and morally complex pursuit, driving the series as Irene uncovers the truths Gaurav left behind, and the ones that refused to stay buried.
Reflecting on the role, Karan Tacker said, “This was one of my most challenging roles, portraying someone deeply connected to a world beyond human comprehension, who tragically passed away under mysterious circumstances. Filming his story was emotionally rattling. He always wanted to be celebrated, and I’m glad I could contribute to his narrative in some way.”
Directed by Robbie Grewal, Bhay will stream soon on Amazon MX Player.
