Suvendu Adhikari to take oath as the first BJP Chief Minister of West Bengal

Kolkata, May 9 (UNI) BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari is set to take oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal on Saturday, marking the annointment of the first BJP govenrment in the eastern state.
The 55-year-old will become West Bengal’s ninth Chief Minister and the first from the Bharatiya Janata Party since Independence, signalling a historic political shift in the state’s power structure.
At Brigade Parade Ground, Governor R.N. Ravi will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Adhikari.
