TA soldier goes missing in south Kashmir; massive searches launched

Srinagar, Oct 8 (UNI) A Territorial Army (TA) soldier, part of an intelligence-gathering unit, has gone missing in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, official sources said.
The TA soldier, whose identity has not been disclosed, went missing on Tuesday afternoon in the Utroosu area of Anantnag district.
The sources said the two soldiers from TA battalion had gone to the area and reportedly came face to face with militants. In the scuffle, one managed to escape and reached his unit and disclosed about the incident.

Over the last four days , joint teams of the Anantnag Police, Army, CRPF, and other agencies have been conducting extensive cordon and search operations across the district, targeting suspected hideouts and support networks.
