Tarzan Nature Retreat Launches Licensing Model to Organise India's Offbeat Hospitality Sector

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI) Tarzan Nature Retreat, the nature-hospitality platform of EBG Group, on Tuesday announced the launch of its Tarzan Licensing and Property Upgrade Model aimed at transforming unorganised offbeat accommodation properties into branded nature-hospitality destinations.
The initiative seeks to bring farmstays, eco-stays, boutique resorts, nature camps and independent retreats under a common operating framework to improve service standards, brand visibility and customer trust, the company said in a release here.
According to the company, India's offbeat hospitality segment is witnessing rapid growth, driven by increasing demand for nature-based travel experiences.
However, many properties continue to operate without standardised systems for branding, guest services, digital marketing and operational management.
Under the new model, eligible properties will be onboarded under the Tarzan brand and upgraded through a structured programme covering brand identity development, design enhancements, photography, digital content creation, online travel agency (OTA) management, pricing strategies, housekeeping standards, staff training, guest-experience protocols and regular audits.
The company said it would also support participating properties in adding hospitality and wellness amenities where required, including prefab accommodation units, spa cottages, restaurant pods, plunge pools, jacuzzi facilities, guided activity zones and curated food and beverage experiences.
Tarzan Nature Retreat aims to convert more than 1,000 qualifying properties into branded destinations by the end of 2026, creating a nationwide network of nature-focused stays that offer travellers a balance of authenticity, comfort, safety and reliability.
Commenting on the initiative, EBG Group Chairman Irfan Khan said the offbeat hospitality market required stronger operational standards and consumer trust mechanisms.
"India does not have a shortage of beautiful locations. What the market lacks is a trusted operating layer for offbeat hospitality. Tarzan Licensing aims to provide independent nature-led properties with the benefits of a recognised brand, standard operating procedures, marketing support and guest confidence," he said.
The company said the licensing model forms part of its broader strategy to expand its presence in the nature-hospitality segment, which also includes eco-luxury retreats, modular stays and experience-driven tourism destinations.
The company said priority would be given to destinations located within driving distance of major metropolitan cities and emerging Tier-II and Tier-III urban centres while retaining the character and authenticity of offbeat travel experiences.
