Taylor Swift unveils eight acoustic bonus tracks across four limited ‘Life of a Showgirl’ CD editions

Los Angeles/ New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Taylor Swift has released eight newly recorded acoustic tracks as part of four limited-edition CD versions of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, according to Variety.
Each of the new editions, available exclusively through her webstore, includes two acoustic or demo bonus tracks and unique cover art, many of which are tied to her music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” now playing in select theaters and debuting on YouTube this night.
“File this under ‘save your best for the finale,” Swift shared on her social media accounts.

“I think my favorite moments from the tour were the acoustic surprises. So I went back into the studio with Max [Martin] and Shellback to record acoustic/unplugged versions of [Martin] few of the ‘Showgirl’ songs with brand new vocals and production! Cannot WAIT for you to hear.”
As Variety reports, the four editions, each priced at USD 7.99, will be available for 24 hours or while supplies last. The titles and track listings are as follows:
The four limited-edition Life of a Showgirl CDs each include two exclusive bonus tracks. The Life Is A Song Acoustic Version features “Opalite (Life Is A Song Acoustic Version)” and “Ruin the Friendship (My Advice Version).” The Dressing Room Rehearsal Version includes “Wi$h Li$t (Settled Down Acoustic Version)” and “The Life of a Showgirl (Dressing Room Rehearsal Acoustic Version).”
The Alone In My Tower Acoustic Version offers “The Fate of Ophelia (Alone In My Tower Acoustic Version)” and “Eldest Daughter (Now You’re Home Acoustic Version).”
Finally, the So Glamorous Cabaret Version includes two takes on the same track: “Elizabeth Taylor (So Glamorous Cabaret Version)” and “Elizabeth Taylor (Original Songwriting Voice Memo).”
The physical CDs are expected to count toward first-week album sales, provided they ship promptly. As Variety notes, Swift already sold an astonishing 2.7 million copies of Showgirl on its first day alone, positioning the album to potentially surpass the all-time one-week sales record of 3.4 million set by Adele’s 25 in 2015, according to data from SoundScan/Luminate.
With fans eagerly snapping up the limited CDs and the buzz surrounding her “Showgirl” era continuing to grow, the release may mark yet another historic milestone in Swift’s record-breaking career.
