TCS partners with CEA to infuse innovation in physical AI solutions

New Delhi, Sep 9 (UNI) Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today signed a partnership agreement with CEA to accelerate innovation and industrialisation of Physical AI Solutions.
CEA or French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission is a public French research and development organization focused on four key areas:- defence and security, low-carbon energy (nuclear and renewable), technological research for industry and fundamental research in life and physical sciences.
On partnership, Alexandre Bounouh, Director of CEA-List, said “ We are delighted to collaborate with TCS to accelerate the diffusion of physical AI technologies in industry. This partnership will enable us to connect cutting-edge research with the concrete needs of businesses and to jointly invent the intelligent systems of tomorrow. By transforming collaboration between humans and machines, AI solutions applied to physical systems will optimise the production chain, thereby contributing to one of our core missions: boosting the resilience and competitiveness of French and European Businesses.”
The official statement said “ Together, TCS and CEA intend to offer organizations concrete solutions based on Physical AI, proof of concept (POCs), as well as training and technological support programs.”
“ Key areas of collaboration include:- Versatile Robots, Advanced Human-Robot Collaboration and Socially Assistive Robots.”
Rammohan Gourneni, Managing Director of TCS France said “ Our commitment to technological innovation is reflected in strong partnerships with key players like CEA. Physical AI is a key technology for the future of Industry, as it combines the power of AI with the intelligence of physical systems. This partnership marks an important step in supporting our clients in their industrial transformation.”
According to the statement, this partnership will leverage the TCS Pace Port Paris research and innovation centre at the heart of the French technology ecosystem. This hub brings together experts, startups, researchers and large companies to accelerate the development of next-gen solutions on a large scale.
‘Physical AI’ refers to the integration of artificial intelligence with physical systems like robots and autonomous vehicles to enable them to perceive, understand and physically interact with the real world.
TCS is an Indian multinational technology company specialized in providing information technology (IT) and consulting services.
