Team India relive struggles on Leeds journey

Leeds, June 18 (UNI) Team India’s train journey from London to Leeds ahead of the first Test against England has stirred a wave of nostalgia, bonding, and personal reflection among players, offering a unique glimpse into their formative years and emotional connect with railway travel.
As part of the ongoing five-Test India tour of England 2025, the squad travelled by train to Leeds—a choice that evoked vivid childhood memories and familial comforts for several team members.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel, son of a Kargil war veteran, recalled his early days in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh: *“When I was a child, my father was posted in Dharamsala. There were a lot of mountains and beautiful, beautiful scenes. I always preferred the window seat, and I used to be very excited."

Pant injured, walks off mid-session at Lord's
