Telangana Cyber Security Bureau arrests 20 cybercriminals in major Gujarat operation

Hyderabad, May 12 (UNI) In a breakthrough, the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) successfully conducted a 10-day interstate operation in Surat, Gujarat, resulting in the arrest of 20 cybercriminals involved in over 60 cases in Telangana and 515 cases across India.

The operation, carried out between May 1 and 10, led to the apprehension of 14 mule account holders and 6 agents, who were found operating 27 bank accounts used in fraudulent transactions worth Rs 4.37 crore. Of this, Rs 22.64 lakh was withdrawn through cheques in Telangana alone.
