Telangana Govt committed to BC welfare, says Minister Ponnam Prabhakar; questions Kavitha’s stand

Hyderabad, June 23 (UNI) Telangana BC Welfare and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday asserted that the Congress government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and guided by Rahul Gandhi, is working sincerely for the welfare of Backward Classes (BCs), and has already sent the BC Bill to the Governor.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Prabhakar criticised BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha for speaking on BC issues, questioning her silence during the BRS regime. "Kavitha has no moral right to talk about BCs now. Did she ever raise her voice for weaker sections in the last ten years?” he asked.
He also expressed respect for Rajya Sabha MP and BC leader R Krishnaiah but questioned his meeting with Kavitha, urging unity beyond politics for BC welfare.
