Telangana govt to celebrate 'Koti Deepotsavam' as state festival from next year

Hyderabad, Nov 8 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy tonight announced that the "Koti Deepotsavam” programme organized during the auspicious ‘Karthika Masam' will be celebrated as the state festival from next year.
The Chief Minister also said that the state government will write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting to announce the Koti Deepotsavam as a national festival and accord a national recognition to the big spiritual event.
Participating in the religious event conducted by a popular Bhakti TV channel here, the CM commended the management for conducting such a big programme for the last 14 years which has also become popular with the reciting of ‘ Hara Hara Mahadev’ by crores of devotees across the country every year.
