Telangana wins National Award for excellence in TB elimination program

New Delhi/Hyderabad, Mar 24 (UNI) Telangana has been recognised with the Overall Best National Performance Award in NAAT testing during the 100-day campaign for tuberculosis (TB) elimination.
The prestigious award was presented by Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, JP Nadda, to R V Karnan, Mission Director, NHM Telangana, and Dr A Rajesham, Joint Director, TB Telangana, during World TB Day 2025 celebrations at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, on Monday.
NAAT (Nucleic Acid Amplification Test) is a highly accurate molecular-based diagnostic method that significantly enhances TB detection compared to traditional microscopy-based testing.
