Thane Municipal Corporation appoints 25 successors before Diwali

Thane, Oct 17 (UNI) The Thane Municipal Corporation has appointed 25 more employees permanently under its succession appointment process, comprising one Class-III and 24 Class-IV employees.
Since January this year, a total of 300 employees have received permanent appointments in the corporation through the scheme that allows successors to take over positions after their deceased or retired parents or relatives. All employees expressed joy at receiving their appointment letters ahead of Diwali festivities.
This campaign was completed with special attention by the Establishment Department under the supervision of Commissioner Saurabh Rao, following instructions from Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The decision to induct successors of sanitation workers who retired or voluntarily resigned was made in light of recommendations from the Ladpage Committee. These employees are granted permanent status after completing three years of service.
