Ties with Bangladesh and other South Asian countries not directed against any third party: China

Beijing, May 7 (UNI) Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman in Beijing, and both leaders agreed to expand cooperation in emerging industries such as green development and the digital economy.
Both the leaders also expressed support for capable "Chinese enterprises to invest and operate in Bangladesh," while Beijing expressed its willingness to promote the alignment of the "high-quality Belt and Road Initiative with Bangladesh's national development strategy and deepen cooperation in traditional areas such as trade."
According to an official press release issued by the Chinese government, China's relations with Bangladesh and other South Asian countries are "not directed against any third party, nor should they be influenced by any third party."
