Tourist bitten by dog in Shimla, panic and public resentment mounts

Shimla, May 13 (UNI) Panic gripped Shimla after a tourist from Noida was attacked by a stray dog on the busy Mall Road, marking the second major dog bite case in the town within 48 hours.
The tourist, visiting with his family to escape the scorching plains, was bitten on the leg, causing heavy bleeding. Eyewitnesses said the dog attacked without provocation, knocking the man to the ground.
Former councillor Sanjeev Sood called an ambulance, and the injured tourist was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where doctors administered anti-rabies treatment.
