Kolkata, Feb 13 (UNI) West Bengal ruling Trinamool Congress has sought an appointment with Governor CV Ananda Bose to meet him on Thursday and urge him to visit Chopra in North Dinajpur immediately where four children were killed after pile of soil buried them during digging of a drain for widening near a BSF camp.
"Uttar Dinajpur's Chopra witnessed a heart-wrenching tragedy where four innocent children lost lives during BSF's expansion work", a TMC memorandum to the governor said.
"The incident occurred during digging and deepening the drain which was being done "illegally" under the direction of BSF and without any proper sanctioned plan or consent of the competent authorities," the TMC said.
