Tripura Police detain five illegal Bangladeshi nationals

Agartala, May 22 (UNI) Tripura Police on Thursday detained five Bangladeshi nationals for allegedly entering Indian territory illegally by crossing the international border in the Madhupur area of Sepahijala district.
Officer-in-Charge of Madhupur Police Station Debajit Chatterjee said, “In the wee hours today, acting on a credible input and with the assistance of local villagers, we apprehended five Bangladeshi nationals near a village close to the India-Bangladesh border. They were brought to the police station for questioning. A case has been registered, and they will be produced before the court.”
He said that all five individuals are reported to be members of the same family from Kurigram district in Bangladesh.
