Trump says Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei very much involved in ongoing talks with US

Washington, Jun 3 (UNI) US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is very much involved in Tehran's ongoing talks with Washington, and said that the two leaders are "getting along quite well" despite the fragile ceasefire, and the peace talks which seem to be at a total deadlock.
Mojtaba, 56, hasn't been seen in public since the beginning of Tehran's ongoing war with the US and Israel, though intelligence reports suggest that he was badly injured and reportedly disfigured in the surprise airstrikes that killed his father, the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, along with several top members of the Iranian leadership.
"He's involved, absolutely. Yeah, I think they have a lot of respect for him," Trump said of Mojtaba, adding "I haven't had the privilege of meeting him… If you believe the stories, he's missing a lot of different parts," Trump told the New York Post.
