Trump slams former defence secretaries, threatens to fire generals-admirals he doesn't like

Quantico, Sept 30 (UNI) US President Donald Trump during his meeting with the top brass of the US military in Quantico, slammed the former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley and former Defence Secretaries James Mattis and Mark Esper, branding them "horrible", and threatened to fire generals he doesn't like, ahead of his speech, reports CNN.
Speaking to reporters at the US Marine Corps Base, he praised his efforts at the military's resuscitation, despite poor leadership in the Pentagon.
"We had some real bad ones last time. I rebuilt the military, the entire military, but I had unbelievable people to do that," Trump said when departing the White House. "But I also had some bad ones at the top, like Milley, Mattis and Esper."
