Two Congress MLAs among nine convicted over blocking pathway

Jaipur, June 18 (UNI) A district court in Jaipur on Wednesday sentenced nine individuals, including two Congress MLAs, to one-year imprisonment in an 11-year-old case of obstructing a pathway and assembling unlawfully
The court convicted Mukesh Bhaker, MLA from Ladnun, Manish Yadav, MLA from Shahpura, Abhishek Choudhary, a former Congress candidate from Jhotwara, Rajesh Meena, Ravi Kirad, Wasim Khan, Dron Yadav, Bhanu Pratap Singh, and Vidhyadhar Meel for obstructing a pathway and assembling unlawfully.
On August 13, 2014, the accused had gathered and blocked the JLN Marg outside the University of Rajasthan gates for 20 minutes. After pronouncing the sentence, the court granted bail to all the convicts.
