Two Thai tourists killed in road accident on Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Unnao

Unnao, October 16 (UNI) Two Thai tourists lost their lives after being hit by a speeding car on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Unnao. The incident occurred near the airstrip in the Bangarmau police station area.According to police reports, the accident took place around 4 PM on Thursday near Nasirapur village. A group of four Thai tourists was traveling from Shravasti to Delhi in a private vehicle driven by Prakash (35), a resident of Shravasti. During the journey, the driver stopped the car near the airstrip to allow two of the tourists to use the toilet facilities.
While the two tourists were standing on the roadside, an Ertiga car approaching at high speed reportedly suffered a tire burst, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle veered off course and ran over the two tourists before crashing into a divider and overturning into a roadside ditch.
The UPEIDA rescue team responded swiftly, transporting the injured to the Bangarmau Community Health Centre (CHC). Unfortunately, both tourists were declared dead upon arrival. They have been identified as Sakulsak (50) and Anan (57), both citizens of Thailand.
