Uddhav has returned empty handed from Delhi: Maha BJP

Mumbai, Aug 9 (UNI) The BJP on Friday ridiculed Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray for his recent Delhi trip saying he returned "empty handed" in the absence of any assurances from Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) constituents to project him as the alliance's chief ministerial face in the coming Maharashtra Assembly polls.
BJP state chief spokesperson Keshav Upadhyay told reporters here: "Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray, even after staying in Delhi for three days, returned empty-handed to Mumbai. He got snubbed as in spite of all his efforts; he is not the CM face for Maharashtra; his meetings were just dry chips with no taste and no sweetness."
Thackeray, who held a number of meetings with Congress leaders in Delhi, "got nothing", Upadhyay said, pointing to Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan's statement that the decision on the CM post would be taken after the election.
