UP: 1.43 lakh TB patients identified, 41k asymptomatic

Lucknow, June 10 (UNI) Approximately 31 lakh people have been screened so far under the ongoing 100-day ‘TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ in Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the identification of 1.43 lakh TB patients.
Notably, among these identified patients, over 41,000 individuals were found asymptomatic. Treatment has been initiated for all patients.
Reviewing the 100-day campaign on Wednesday, Amit Kumar Ghosh, Additional Chief Secretary (Medical and Health), directed officials to identify areas lacking expected progress, strengthen micro-plans, and intensify door-to-door outreach and public awareness activities.

Jaipur, Jul 13 (UNI) The Rajasthan High Court on Monday dismissed petitions against the "encroachment" demolition drive being carried out by authorities in the border belt of Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sriganganagar and Bikaner, holding that "the issue of National Security is Supreme (paramount)".
Dismissing the petitions, a Single Bench of Justice Sameer Jain held that normally followed procedural rules of natural justice can be relaxed or dropped to the demands of national security.
