UP Excise revenue crosses Rs 43,975 cr by Jan 2026

Lucknow, Feb 6 ( UNI) Uttar Pradesh has recorded a sharp rise in excise revenue in the financial year 2025–26, with collections up to January 2026 reaching Rs 43,975.15 crore, reflecting strong year-on-year growth.
According to state Excise Minister Nitin Agarwal here on Friday, the revenue collected till January 2026 in FY 2025–26 is Rs 6,074.80 crore higher than the Rs 37,900.35 crore collected during the same period (up to January 2025) in FY 2024–25, marking an increase of 16.03pc.
The state had set a revenue target of Rs 48,900 crore up to January 2026, of which 89.92 per cent has been achieved so far.
