UP: Policeman commits suicide inside station premises in Rampur

Rampur (UP), Apr 24 (UNI) A 40-year-old police personnel, posted at Ganj police station, shot himself with his service revolver and committed suicide inside the premises in Rampur district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here.
Police sources said that Mohammad Umar, who was posted as head clerk in Ganj police station, shot himself and committed suicide in Maal Khana inside the station. "Umar, a resident of Joya, lived in a rented house in PWD Colony. He was posted in different police stations in Rampur for the last six years and became the head clerk one and a half years ago," they said.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Atul Srivastava said that head clerk Mohammad Umar committed suicide by shooting himself in the Ganj police station premises. "Further legal action will be taken after finding out the reasons of the incident," he said.
