UPCAMP signs MoU with 15 Knowledge Centres to build green workforce in UP

Lucknow, June 4 (UNI) A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Uttar Pradesh Clean Air Management Project (UPCAMP) Authority, which is being implemented with the support of the World Bank, and 15 Regional Knowledge Centres at the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change.
The objective of the MoU is to strengthen capacity building, training, and the development of a green-skilled workforce in the state. The MoU, signed on Wednesday evening, underscores the commitment of the Uttar Pradesh government to environmental protection and sustainable development.
Under this MoU, there is a plan to provide green skill training to thousands of youths over the next five years. Regular capacity-building workshops will also be organised for government officials and local bodies. This initiative will prove to be a milestone in establishing Uttar Pradesh as a leading state in tackling air pollution and moving towards a green economy.
