Srinagar, Sep 10 (UNI) The Indian Army, in collaboration with the EY Foundation and support from Yuva Unstoppable, distributed 1,000 ration kits to families residing in the border belt of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A Srinagar-based defence spokesman said that this humanitarian effort has provided vital relief to vulnerable communities who have been facing operational challenges and environmental hardships in the wake of recent ceasefire violations.
“Despite the difficult terrain and high-risk environment, the Indian Army ensured seamless ground coordination and logistics, enabling the safe and timely delivery of essential supplies to some of the remotest households in the region,” the spokesman said. “The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s enduring commitment to not only safeguard the nation but also support local communities, nurturing goodwill and fostering stability in sensitive border areas.”
The EY Foundation’s generous support, coupled with Yuva Unstoppable’s effective coordination, was instrumental in the smooth execution of this outreach programme.
“This initiative stands as a powerful example of how joint action and shared responsibility can transform lives and bring hope to border communities living under challenging circumstances. It reinforces the message that collective efforts, driven by compassion and commitment, can pave the way for peace, stability and inclusive development in the region,” the spokesman said.
