Uttarakhand record first win in Swami Vivekananda U20 Men's NFC

Narainpur (Chhattisgarh), Apr 12 (UNI) The first edition of the Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men's National Football Championship 2024 got off to a flying start at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ground here on Friday.
The tournament kicked off with two Group E matches. While Uttarakhand beat Punjab 3-1, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu played out a 1-1 draw in the tournament opener.
West Bengal scored the first-ever goal in the Swami Vivekananda Men's NFC in the 34th minute when Rahul Naskar tapped the rebound into the open net after Shibam Munda's initial attempt was saved by goalkeeper Ajay Kumar.
