VBA chief Prakash Ambedkar condemns murder linked to inter-caste relationship

Nanded, Dec 3 (UNI) Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar has strongly condemned the murder of a young man in Nanded allegedly linked to an inter-caste relationship and has extended full support to the stance taken by the young woman involved in the case.
The victim, Saksham Tate, aged 20, was a resident of Nanded and belonged to the Buddhist community, classified as a Scheduled Caste. As may be recalled, his relationship with Aanchal Mamidwar, who comes from the Padmashali (OBC) community, faced vehement opposition from her family due to caste differences. Ambedkar described the killing as a direct outcome of caste hostility and intolerance.
Police have arrested the primary accused—Aanchal’s father, Gajanan Mamidwar, and her brothers, Himesh and Sahil—on charges of murdering Saksham. He was killed just four days before his 21st birthday.
