Venkatesh Prasad defeats Shantha Kumar in KSCA elections

Bengaluru, Dec 7 (UNI) Former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad was on Sunday elected as the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) president, marking a significant shift in the state cricket body’s leadership.
Prasad, who headed the Team Game Changers panel, defeated KN Shanth Kumar, the candidate supported by former KSCA strongman Brijesh Patel. The closely watched elections saw Prasad’s panel gaining a clear mandate for major posts.
Santosh Menon and Sujith Somasundar, contesting from the same panel, were elected as secretary and vice president, respectively, further consolidating the Game Changers’ control over the association.
