Vin Diesel hints at Cristiano Ronaldo appearance in ‘Fast X’

Los Angeles, Dec 14 (UNI) Vin Diesel has revealed that he has written a role for football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in the upcoming film ‘Fast X: Part 2,’ calling him “a real one”, reported Variety.
Fueling speculation of a high-profile cameo, Diesel recently shared a photo with Ronaldo on Instagram, hinting at the athlete’s involvement in the final installment of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise. “Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you he is a real one. We wrote a role for him,” Diesel wrote in the caption.
While details of Ronaldo’s role remain under wraps, and the football icon has yet to officially confirm his participation, ‘Fast X: Part 2’ is slated for a theatrical release in April 2027, as per Variety.
The eleventh and reportedly final chapter of the franchise will see Diesel return as Dominic Toretto, alongside familiar faces including Dwayne Johnson (Luke Hobbs), Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw), Jason Momoa (Dante Reyes), Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto) and Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz).
Diesel has also confirmed that Brian O’Connor, the beloved character originally portrayed by the late Paul Walker, will make a return.
‘Fast X: Part 2’ will be directed by Louis Leterrier, who also helmed ‘Fast X,’ with Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel writing the screenplay.
Reports of Ronaldo’s possible cameo arrive amid heightened scrutiny of the film’s budget. According to The Wall Street Journal, Universal Pictures enforced tighter financial controls following ‘Fast X,’ which reportedly cost around USD 340 million to produce.
Although the film grossed over USD 700 million worldwide, it was among the franchise’s least profitable installments. By comparison, 2021’s F9 earned more than USD 725 million globally on an estimated USD 200 million budget.
