Vir Das' 'Happy Patel' earns 'A' certificate

Mumbai, Jan 13 (UNI) "Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos" has formally cleared the Central Board of Film Certification hurdle, earning an 'A' rating ahead of its theatrical debut, director-lead actor Vir Das said on Tuesday.
Das also revealed that advance ticket bookings for the film will open from Wednesday, marking a key step in the lead-up to its release. Sharing the news, he wrote, “Not a good student, only A I’ve EVER received happypatel Jan 16! Advance bookings open TOMORROW!”
Backed by Aamir Khan Productions, "Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos" is positioned as one of the more intriguing releases of 2026.
The film introduces a fresh spin on the spy-comedy genre and sees Vir Das not only in the lead role but also stepping behind the camera for his directorial debut. The trailer and music released so far have already generated positive buzz, adding excitement around the project.
