Pune, Jan 16 (UNI) Conditions are becoming favourable for cessation of Northeast monsoon rains over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe and adjoining areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka during the next two days, the IMD here reported on Friday.
Minimum Temperature Departures below normal (-3°C to -6°C) over Haryana, Delhi, East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and near normal over rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 0.9°C was observed at Ballowal Saunkhri (Punjab) over the plains of India.
Dense to very Dense fog (visibility <50 m) conditions prevailed in many parts of Punjab, Haryana; in some parts of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh; in isolated pockets of Odisha and dense fog (visibility 50-199 m) conditions prevailed in isolated pockets of West Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Meghalaya.
