Windies begin WTC 2025-2027 cycle with Aus series

Barbados, Feb 6 (UN) The West Indies men’s cricket team will officially begin their journey in the ICC World Test Championship cycle with a home series against Australia, starting in Barbados on June 25.
Under new head coach Daren Sammy, the team will battle for the coveted Frank Worrell Trophy in a three-match Test series. This highly anticipated contest kicks off at Kensington Oval in Barbados, before moving to Grenada (July 3-7) and Jamaica (July 12-16).
The West Indies will be looking to make a strong statement in this series, not just for the prestigious trophy but also to set the tone for their campaign in the World Test Championship. Sammy, bringing both leadership experience and a deep understanding of West Indies cricket, is poised to guide the Men in Maroon through this critical phase as they target a successful start to the cycle.
