Woman ends life after allegedly administering poison to 14-month-old child in Solapur

Solapur, Nov 9 (UNI) A heart-wrenching incident was reported today morning from Wani village in the Barshi of the district, where a woman allegedly administered poison to her 14-month-old son before taking her own life.
Police reached the spot shortly after receiving information about the incident and conducted a postmortem examination of the deceased woman, while the child was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
According to police sources, the household’s domestic worker discovered the tragic scene when she arrived for work in the early hours. On peering through a window, she saw the woman hanging from a ceiling fixture while the infant lay motionless on a bed. Alarmed, she immediately alerted neighbours and local authorities. Emergency services were informed, and police arrived at the location soon after.
