Woman jumps off apartment building to escape fire in Lucknow, dies

Lucknow, Jan 12 (UNI) A 45-year-old woman died after jumping from the second floor of an apartment building to escape a fire in Lucknow on Monday morning. Her husband sustained burns while their daughter was rescued.
The incident occurred around 7:09 am at Rohitash Apartment near Neelgiri Chauraha on Ayodhya Road. The deceased has been identified as Nida Rizvi. She lived in the apartment with her husband, Syed Mohammad Ammar Rizvi. Their daughter, Zara, who lives in the United States, was visiting the family at the time of the incident.
According to police, a fire alert was received at the control room at 7:09 am, following which fire brigade teams rushed to the spot. As the fire spread rapidly, Nida Rizvi reportedly jumped from the second-floor terrace in an attempt to save herself.
