Women in Bihar are worst sufferers of migration: Prashant

Patna, Jan 22 (UNI) Founder of " Jan Suraaj " Prashant Kishor on Wednesday said that women of Bihar were worst sufferers of migration of youths to other states in search of their livelihood.
Kishor, popularly known as PK, said women wear worst sufferers of migration of youths from Bihar to other states of the country, in search of their livelihood. "During the last two and half years of my visits to several corners of Bihar, it came to light that only 15 percent youths in villages were regular habitats while other youths had migrated to other states in search of their livelihood," he added.
PK referred to the condition of such women who were left behind alone in villages just after their marriages as their husbands had no option but to leave for other states of the country to earn their livelihood. It was most pathetic to note that such women had spent their lives alone as their husbands only came to native place in Chhath festival or during any important function of the family, he pointed out.
