Wrestler Baboryko accepts two-year ban for positive test

Geneva, Mar 28 (UNI) Wrestler Dmitriy Baboryko of Russia has accepted a two-year period of ineligibility after testing positive for the prohibited substance tamoxifen, the International Testing Agency (ITA) announced on Thursday.
Baboryko tested positive following an in-competition doping control at the U23 World Championships in Tirana, Albania, on October 23, 2024, and did not challenge the violation.
Tamoxifen is classified as a prohibited substance under the S4 category (Hormone and Metabolic Modulators) on WADA's Prohibited List.
The ITA imposed a ban on Baboryko from December 20, 2024 to December 19, 2026 and disqualified all competitive results from October 23, 2024 onwards.
